Amanda Holden didn’t see baby Hollie Rose for three days after birth
Amanda Holden failed to see her newborn baby daughter for the primary three days of her life, it was revealed last night.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 40, went into labour a month early on Monday and her baby Hollie Rose was delivered later that day by emergency caesarean.
She was kept aside from newborn daughter for 3 days while she recovered in intensive care in hospital, where she was deemed to be in a ‘critical condition’.

Last night, a source told the Daily Mail said Miss Holden was ‘stable’, adding: ‘Amanda remains to be extremely woozy – she was under heavy sedation following Hollie’s birth.
‘She was in intensive take care of three days, you certainly cannot bring a newborn into intensive care, so Wednesday night was the primary time she can have met Hollie after doctors judged that she was stable.’
Miss Holden had gone to hospital after filming auditions for the ITV talent show, and the source added: ‘It was a life threatening situation. There has been huge lack of blood and Amanda needed to have a variety of transfusions. She lost several pints of blood.’

Miss Holden’s husband, record producer Chris Hughes yesterday thanked hospital staff for his or her care.
Their spokeswoman Alison Griffin said: ‘Chris want to thank the entire medical staff and everybody who was all for Amanda’s care. They have got all been absolutely fantastic.’
Hollie Rose weighed in at just over six pounds and was described as ‘healthy’. She was put into an incubator briefly following her birth, but a source said this was ‘routine’.

For Miss Holden, the arriving of her
little girl marked the tip of a turbulent year wherein she suffered
the lack of her son, who was born stillborn last February when she was
seven months pregnant.
She already has a six-year-old daughter, Lexi. Complications during that pregnancy with a low lying placenta meant she gave birth by caesarean section.
Miss Holden is now expected to remain in hospital until no less than the tip of the week.
Growing brood: Amanda and Chris are already parents to Lexi
Speaking on the National Television Awards on Wednesday night, her fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams revealed that he and the remainder of the panel were ‘worried’ once they realized that Miss Holden wasn’t rather well.
‘It’s fantastic news,’ he said of the birth. ‘We were all worried after we were doing the show after hearing she was in hospital.’
Simon Cowell tweeted that he was ‘thrilled’ for his co-star.
