Strictly Come Dancing winner Harry Judd and girlfriend Izzy Johnston the morning after

They’ve been one of the crucial low-key couples in showbusiness.

But after Harry Judd’s Strictly Come Dancing victory last night and subsequent revelation that he plans to propose to girlfriend Izzy Johnston, the couple has been thrust firmly into the spotlight.

Photographers were awaiting the McFly drummer and his long-time love outside their hotel this morning, and so they happily obliged with big smiles and a kiss for the cameras.

The 25-year-old King of the dancefloor and his 27-year-old violinist girlfriend were dressed down for the adventure home from Blackpool today.

They both looked a bit of tired after celebrating well into the morning with Harry’s fellow Strictly contestants and McFly bandmates.

The champion clutched his other trophy – a smaller replica of the dazzling Glitterball he was awarded last night with dance partner Aliona Vilani.

The musician was pictured arriving on the final after-party last night together with his bandmate Dougie Poynter, who won I’m a star… Get Me Out of Here a number of weeks ago.

After toasting his success, Judd retreated to his hotel room, where he let fans in on his cosy celebration.

He tweeted an image of his Glitterball trophy, a bottle of water and a takeaway pizza, writing: ‘People asked me what i’d do tonight to celebrate….here’s your answer.’

It seems after seeing so little of one another during the last few months, Harry was longing for some alone time along with his girlfriend of six years.

Speaking to the Daily Star immediately after being crowned winner, Harry revealed that he’s hoping for a ‘romantic and spontaneous’ proposal.

‘We moved in together firstly
of Strictly,’ he told the paper. ‘We are very settled together and talk
in regards to the future lots.’

The couple met back in 2005, when Izzy was a member of the string section during McFly’s arena tour.

drummer for the complete tour, however the pair got together during a celebration to
celebrate the top of the tour.

The low-key couple kept their relationship under wraps for years by reason of McFly’s enormous female fan base on the height in their fame, however emerged when Izzy’s group Escala rose to prominence on Britain’s Got Talent.

The quartet, then referred to as Scala, made it to the general of the 2008 series.

Before last night’s Strictly final,

Judd told the Sunday Mirror: ‘She always texts me in advance of i am going on. I only get five minutes together with her on show day.

The
musician was crowned the winner of the Strictly Come Dancing 2011,
prior to runner-up Chelsee Healey and Jason Donovan, who was eliminated
after the primary half the live show.
