Gap MilanGap and Banana Republic are landing next fall in Milan. The first flagship store will open next to one another in Corso Vittorio Emanuele. In 2011 the company made in USA will land in Rome and other Italian cities. “In further expanding our global presence by providing great products to our customers, we are excited to enter in a new market which is also one of the top five for the fashion world,” said Stephen Sunnucks, President, Europe and International Franchise , Gap Inc. “Having already loyal customers in London and Paris, we think the marks of Gap Inc. will have a strong resonance at the Italian customers.”Gap opens in Milan

The two shops are owned by Gap Inc. and exploit existing resources and infrastructure distribution in Europe. The flagship store in Milan is divided into three floors with a total area of 7772.4 square meters and will have the following collections: Gap, GapKids, babyGap, GapMaternity and GapBody.

Since 1969, the year of opening the first store in San Francisco,the brand has grown with about 3,100 stores around the world , over 170 of these are in Europe. Founded in 1978, Banana Republic has established itself as a brand that offers a versatile range of clothing, with a high-level design and a product at affordable prices. The flagship store of 5334 square meters will introduce the collections of the Milan ready-to-wear clothing for men and women, accessories and products for personal care.

The company made in the USA also announced plans to create an online shopping site for Gap and Banana Republic in England, which will also serve online shoppers in nine other European countries, including Italy.
